Growing Brand and increasing reach through games

Regardless of your company's demographic or target market games are a fun way to raise brand awareness and deliver key messages through an engaged audience. Running a campaign through a games medium has great benefits in the marketing and selling of a campaign during an environment of fun and activity. Awareness of brand and campaigns has exponential growth through the sharing and recommendation of games and competition of leader boards and incentivised rewards.

We custom built a retro game to demonstrate the possibilities of a game product although potentially any type of game would do the job - quiz, strategy or action. Creating your own game encourages creativity and control allowing for advert placement, data capture and the ability to reward vouchers. The game we created is a simple reward game through advancing levels and increasing your score.

In the game you play as our mascot debug helping her defend against an increasing attack from above in the form of aliens. The game advances through levels as you clear each wave of descending aliens, this may seem familiar to some in a retro way. The game logic was created using a game loop which acts as the main control function of the game, controlling functions for the animation, player moves, alien moves, collision detection and levels.

Game controls

To control the player on desktop use the left and right arrow keys and the up arrow key to fire. On tablet or mobile use the on screen buttons to control movement and fire.
